Just wow, the eevee 3d viewport is so nice.. set up a quick 30 frame animation using both eevee 3d view and a rendered version..  Eevee real time view at 62 samples.. just hit play and screen recorded. No waiting just instant result :) This is the eevee render at 65 samples.. about 10 sec to render reach frame, about 12 min to complete. This is so amazing, with volumetric lights as well.. loving it. Also learning we can composite both eevee and cycles renders! That's great and opens up a lot of options.. Render certain objects using Cycles as you know you will get a great result, then compose with a eevee render of say a background, room, volumetic etc

Just got delivery of this SanDisk Extreme A1 V30 microSD card and quickly tested it on Crystal Disk Mark: The specs say this can reach 100 MB/s.. so not too far off!. So threw it in the Nikon P900 camera which was the main reason i bought it. Wanted to see if i could get burst shooting writes faster as they really slowed the camera down. It did not disappoint .. its prob double as fast as my other microsSD's i have tested before. Here is the A1 writing after burst shot: Here is another Sandisk Ultra 80 to compare: Honestly thought the camera was the bottleneck as i have tried a few with similar results., So happy with this card. :)

A nvidia 780ti fell into my hands.. so replaced the 560ti in my pc and ran up blender to see some render action.. So lets see what a 980 and 780ti can do. Default CPU i7 as comparison got 5 min  Default BMW test render got 45 sec.     512x256 tile size test got 39.5 sec. Big improvement over the 560ti.. Also ran the tests in the CUDA version of Blender.

So had a 560ti laying around from an old pc. Plugged it in to my pc and fired up Blender CUDA version and the BMW test blend.
