Mike's Stuff

Clear blue skies this thing looked amazing tearing through the sky leaving contrails.

Bit easier to track as was flying away.

Noshing away across the road.

Just some Lorikeets :) Noshing on Paperbark flowers   Just enjoying the ride.

Clear sky so thought i will have another crack at Jupiter and its moons. Moons are nicely in a row. Thought i would try some video.. bit of shake but can see them OK. New years pics of Jupiter  here

Spotted this dragon fly in the neighbours yard, so took a vid. Vibration reduction going over drive. .

Took these after celebrating the new year. Also got my first close up of Jupiter. Nice way to kick off the new year :)  Light dot on the bottom left is Jupiter   Zoom into the light dot and Jupiter is revealed with 3 moons visible.

Have seen this lorikeet with the damaged beak around the area. Was just chilling then a friend joined in.

Here are some burst shooting tests with the 64Gb SanDisk Ultra 80 MB/s microSDXC UHS-I. Tested in both Sports and Bird watching modes, 16M and 8M size.   I believe the Sandisk is slightly faster then the 64GB Silicon Power 85MB/s MicroSDXC UHS-1 Class1 i tested earlier.

No clouds that night. Blue Filter

Took these while i could as clouds started to roll in. You can see them drifting across the face of the moon. Red Filter

Some more of these stunning birds. Mango trees attracts them all.

Spotted these noshing on mangos in the backyard. Don't often see these birds around. Absolutely stunning colours.

Decided to perch in the mango tree.

Moon at different ISO levels.  ISO 400  ISO 360

Large full moon last night, took some snaps.. need to play a bit with exposure levels.

Finally begged/borrowed a tripod and did a few zoom ins on the first quarter moon. They are little more stable but move around when touching the zoom button. Will need to get a remote next as the android app wont work in video mode. Blue filter Red filter

Zoom in on street number across the road.

Zoom in on a pair of Galahs from the house. Spur of the moment zoom on a passing plane. Caught this going to my car

Just playing around with this great camera and took some video of the zoom feature. Extreme bird watching Moon Zoom
