Just got delivery of this SanDisk Extreme A1 V30 microSD card and quickly tested it on Crystal Disk Mark: The specs say this can reach 100 MB/s.. so not too far off!. So threw it in the Nikon P900 camera which was the main reason i bought it. Wanted to see if i could get burst shooting writes faster as they really slowed the camera down. It did not disappoint .. its prob double as fast as my other microsSD's i have tested before. Here is the A1 writing after burst shot: Here is another Sandisk Ultra 80 to compare: Honestly thought the camera was the bottleneck as i have tried a few with similar results., So happy with this card. :)

These guys are loud and were sitting on a tree stump next door.

Clear blue skies this thing looked amazing tearing through the sky leaving contrails.

Bit easier to track as was flying away.

Took some snap as it was barely detectable with the eye. Adjusted contrast to make it stand out more. Red filter used.

Clear sky so thought i will have another crack at Jupiter and its moons. Moons are nicely in a row. Thought i would try some video.. bit of shake but can see them OK. New years pics of Jupiter  here

Spotted this dragon fly in the neighbours yard, so took a vid. Vibration reduction going over drive. .

Took these after celebrating the new year. Also got my first close up of Jupiter. Nice way to kick off the new year :)  Light dot on the bottom left is Jupiter   Zoom into the light dot and Jupiter is revealed with 3 moons visible.

Have seen this lorikeet with the damaged beak around the area. Was just chilling then a friend joined in.

Here are some burst shooting tests with the 64Gb SanDisk Ultra 80 MB/s microSDXC UHS-I. Tested in both Sports and Bird watching modes, 16M and 8M size.   I believe the Sandisk is slightly faster then the 64GB Silicon Power 85MB/s MicroSDXC UHS-1 Class1 i tested earlier.

Took these while i could as clouds started to roll in. You can see them drifting across the face of the moon. Red Filter

Just testing the camera with the moon moving through the frame. Using red filter. Sped it up a bit.

No clouds so took some vids using red and blue filters.

Red-winged Parrot and Rainbow Lorikeet noshing on mango.

Acrobatically noshing on a mango.. so great to watch these birds.
