Mike's Stuff

So TV flashed up a software update is ready msg. Installed and went from 3.03.55 to 3.20.05 Not sure what is adds/fixed but maybe its the HDR update. Dont have anything to test with tho :P Also Netflix updated, again not sure what was fixed/changed.

So my brother updated his graphics card from a 780ti to a 980ti. Nabbed his 780ti and shoved it in the HTPC (replacing a 560ti) attached to the LG tv..  and lo it was beautiful!  I believe this is only possible with a reduced color format? Also not sure 4096x2160 is the native rez for the LG EG960T, tried 3840x2160 and it looked the same... still great looking. Will install some games and test out some 4k rez action

Just picked up the LG 65" EG960T OLED TV and wow what a stunning picture. Ran through some UHD/4k demo vids and its jaw dropping.. the blacks my god the blacks! Playback via usb just about any media i throw at it, network streaming is more limited but i have yet to test LG's own pc software. WebOS seems fast and responsive, can web browse and has the usual apps like netflix, iview, sbs etc. Had a small panic when i couldn't find a way to turn off subtitles. Found a way and made a video. Hit the center/scroll button on the remote to begin.   Lg's connect device feature is quite impressive. Allowed me to add my Panasonic htib as to allow me to control it from the LG remote. Very nice.
